Someone else on geocities had their site taken down by geocities without warning, so I've downloaded all my pics and files before they could do the same to me. I'm not sure where I'll put my site up yet. Anyone who had a link to Culinary X, I guess you ougta take it out.

Yeah i know it was some kind of misunderstanding on Geocities part, but to tell you the truth, I wasn't too happy with them. I found the interface very slow, and the ads can get pretty intrusive. I know a guy at my college who's site was taken down by geocities a couple months back without any warning. Needless to say he was very upset, and since hearing his story I've been thinking of moving my site, even perhaps buying my own domain even though I could use the money for more practical things. But don't worry, Culinary X will be back someday, somehow.

That was a mistake by Geocities, Spats. They misunderstood a (staggeringly unclear, by the way) note they got from Marvel. Marvel never asked for any sites on Geocities to be blocked. See http://www.cinescape.com/8/editorial...42388&sub_id=0
for more on this.
And I hope your site returns; it was one of my favourites!
